In British Columbia, a strata corporation can contain legally distinct property sections. Reserve Sense can repeat parts of the report for each property section — an entire page or table, or only a line, bullet, or number — from a single template definition.
Levels of section handling
Sectioned pages
- Open the page in Report Templates
- Enable Sectioned in the page configuration
- Write the page once, using variables that target the current property section
Property Section and Current Section
Insert a Property Section variable (for example in the title) and set its iterator to Current. Reserve Sense walks through the property sections and inserts the current property section’s name:- Projections—Joint
- Projections—Residential
- Projections—Commercial
Model Schedule Value per section
A Model Schedule Value inserts a number from the report’s funding calculations, such as a recommended contribution or closing balance. Its settings answer four separate questions:
Section 1–5 refers to property sections, not funding-model alternatives. One template sentence such as “We recommend that the section contribute [amount] …” can therefore produce the correct value on each section’s page.
Current, Auto, All, and specific sections
Tables on non-sectioned pages
You will not always want to repeat the whole page. Example Deficiency Analysis page:- Write a general introductory paragraph that should appear once for the whole property — leave the page non-sectioned
- Insert a Deficiency Table underneath and choose DCQ Analysis or Percent Funded
- In the table’s Sectioned menu, choose All so Joint, Residential, and Commercial (or whatever property sections exist) all appear after the shared intro
Show only when sectioned
For a page that explains sections and would not make sense on a single-section property:- Open Show Page Condition
- Choose If the report has more than 1 section
Report-unique sectioned pages
Some Standard Template pages (for example Reserve Fund History under Financial Review and Forecast) are both Sectioned and set to Uniqueness: Report. That means:- The template still supplies structure and variables, and the page repeats per property section
- In the Report tab’s editable-pages area, use the Section: selector beside Template page: to customize the narrative for Residential, Joint, Commercial, and so on separately
